Booking a photography session is exciting—but it can also feel a little uncertain. Many clients wonder: What will it be like? Will it feel comfortable? What if I don’t know how to pose? My job is to answer those questions before we even begin and ensure the experience feels relaxed, enjoyable, and authentic to you.

Whether you’re celebrating a growing family, an engagement, senior year, or simply want to document life right now, here’s what you can expect when you step in front of my camera.

A Comfortable Approach

You’ll never be left standing unsure of what to do. I’ll offer direction through prompts—sometimes playful, sometimes reflective—that bring out natural connection.

During one family session, I asked a little girl to face forward while her parents quietly counted down behind her before running in for a tickle attack. Her anticipation, followed by laughter, was completely genuine—and those are the kinds of moments I love to capture.

Not every prompt is high-energy. With couples, I might suggest sharing a favorite memory. For seniors, I’ll encourage movement that shows confidence and personality. For maternity, I’ll guide you into positions that highlight connection and anticipation while keeping you at ease. The approach shifts depending on the session, but the goal stays the same: photos that feel real and true to you.

Tailored to your session type

Family Photography

A mix of play and calm moments together. If kids explore mid-session, that’s part of the story—and often makes for the most meaningful photos.

Engagement & Couple Sessions

Your relationship drives the images—walking hand in hand, leaning in close, or sharing a laugh.

Senior Portraits

We’ll combine portraits that highlight your individuality with relaxed, expressive shots. Bring items that reflect your passions—it makes your session personal and unique.

Guidance Without Pressure

I’ll provide direction so you always feel supported, while leaving room for genuine interaction. Some moments will be lighthearted, others more reflective. That balance is what builds a gallery that feels dynamic and personal.

What the Experience Feels Like

Think of your session less as posing and more as time spent being present. You’ll move, talk, laugh, and share moments that feel true to you. My role is to handle the details—light, composition, balance—so you can focus on simply connecting.

The Goal

By the end of your session, I want you to feel comfortable, enjoy the process, and see yourself represented honestly in your photos. The best images aren’t about perfection—they’re about personality, connection, and celebrating the season of life you’re in right now.

So relax. Show up as you are. I’ll take care of the rest.
