Choosing a Photographer
is about more than liking their portfolio—it’s about connecting with their style and how they see the world. Here’s a closer look at how I approach photography and what inspires me when I step behind the camera.
My Photographic Style

Most of my work leans into natural light and storytelling. I love photos that feel honest and connected, where you can see both the relationships and the environment working together.
Composition and balance are always top of mind. I look for ways to draw your eye naturally—through the curve of a path, the glow of light through leaves, or the way people are placed together in a frame. It’s not about rigid posing; it’s about creating harmony between people and their surroundings.

Using the Environment
I prefer photographing outdoors because nature offers light and texture you simply can’t replicate. A grove of trees can filter midday sun into something soft and flattering. Open fields let light wrap around you at golden hour. Even an urban street corner can become a frame if the lines and shadows feel right.
That said, I’m open to indoor sessions as well. While I don’t currently maintain a studio (it’s a goal for the future), I love working in spaces that are meaningful to you—whether that’s your home, a favorite café, or a unique indoor location around Delaware.
I often scout new spots when I’m out and about, but I welcome your input too. Maybe it’s a park where your kids play, a trail you hike, or a place tied to your story. Deciding together ensures the location feels personal and the images resonate.
Where Inspiration Comes From
Inspiration often shows up in small, everyday ways:
- The way sunlight filters through tree branches.
- A fleeting laugh between two people.
- The quiet confidence of a senior stepping into a new stage of life.
- A family leaning in close, tangled together under a blanket.
These moments—unscripted, often unexpected—are what shape my style. My goal is to capture details that might otherwise be overlooked and to turn them into images that feel timeless.
Why This Matters for You
When you know a photographer’s style, you know what to expect in your gallery. With me, that means images rooted in connection, guided by thoughtful composition, and inspired by the environment around us.
